WE ARE!!!
This April we’re hitting the stage for Ausdance’s Till Dusk Festival!
We’re performing our work TX1000. We originally performed this work at Annandale Creative Arts Centre’s Platform Shorts in 2018.
This time our costume budget is higher than $0 so we’ve upgraded from wearing garbage bags to something slightly more stylish.
AusdanceNSW are celebrating International Dance Day in an exciting new way. Till Dusk is a larger-than-life festival settle in Sydney’s iconic Martin Place with a stage full of performances by students, professional artists, and community members.
We’re performing alongside formidable companies such as Wagana Dancers, AUSTI.Dance & Physical Theatre, Las Peinetas, 2swagg Dance Crew, JW Murray Tap, Lost All Sorts Collective, Mission Stiletto and Ballet International Gala.
International Dance Day is widely celebrated as a time to rejoice in all things dance and celebrate the diversity, resilience, and creativity of the ever-adapting art form. Did you know it was established in 1982 to pay homage to Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810) who has long been credited with the creation of modern ballet? April 29 was his birthday.
