Kate is a Sydney based dancer and choreographer, who also has a passion for dance photography and film. Kate grew up in London, where she completed a BETEC Extended Diploma in Dance at Lewisham College for 2 years before moving to Australia. She completed her Bachelor of Dance at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts, majoring in Contemporary. Kate is also trained in Ballet, Jazz and Pole Dancing.
While still in the UK, Kate was a member of The Place’s performance company Scatter and worked on various site-specific projects with artists including Lea Anderson and Ragnhild Olsen. This inspired her to create her own dance for film piece ‘Summertime Sadness’ using the London Underground.
Kate is the artistic director of sister dance company Silhouette 9 Productions, which creates dance performances for events.
Kate first joined Bonnie Curtis Projects to perform in ‘Blazin It Up (With a Mid-Song Climax)’ in 2015.
