Workshop Descriptions

Adult Dance Workshop

Join award-winning choreographer Bonnie Curtis in a creative dance workshop series aimed at developing your self-expression and movement skills.

Together we will explore different movement and improvisation tools to discover the joy of dance and freedom in movement.

Suitable for adults of all ages and skill levels. It is a physically active class, however it is structured so you are able to move at your own pace and skill level.

Beginner Contemporary Dance Workshop

Want to learn how to dance but don’t know where to start?
Join our workshop where you will learn the basics of contemporary dance in our 4 week series for adults.

You will learn the foundations of contemporary dance including:
– Floor work
– Coordination of the spine and limbs
– Moving in and out of the floor safely
– Basic jumps and turns

This workshop is a fun, beginner class for adults of all ages and skill levels.

Progressing Ballet Technique for Adults

Progressing Ballet Technique is a fun and engaging class for all ages and abilities focusing on alignment and core stability.

This workshop is a beginner class for adults where you will learn the foundations of Progressing Ballet Technique.

Progressing Ballet Technique is a fun and engaging class for all ages and abilities focusing on alignment and core stability.

This is a beginner class for all ages and abilities. PBT has 3 levels of difficulty and class exercises are adapted to suit everyone’s skill level and ability.

Adult Ballet

Workshops include beginner ballet and open-style classes.

Creative Dance for Kids

Aimed at developing self-expression and movement skills.

Classes explore different movement and improvisation tools to discover the joy of dance and freedom in movement.

Important Information

Who are the courses for?
Our workshops are for adults 16 years and over who have never danced or have limited dance experience. Kids classes are for school aged children, unless stated otherwise.

What do I wear?

Make sure you wear comfortable clothes to move in. Your clothing should not restrict or stop you from dancing and moving. Similar to what you would wear to the gym. For Progressing Ballet Technique and Ballet, please wear form fitting clothing with pants, leggings or tights that can be rolled up to the knee.

For footwear, bare feet, socks or lightweight shoes are acceptable. The best type of socks for dancing in are Bonds style cotton socks. For Ballet, please wear ballet flats or cotton socks. No skirts, jeans or school uniforms. Please don’t wear any clunky necklaces or big jewellery.

Where are you located and how do I get there?
Courses are located in both Sydney and the Southern Highlands. Each workshop will have the address listed.
