2019 – What a Year!

It has been another incredible year for Bonnie Curtis Projects.

GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS went on her first international tour. We started running regular workshops, sharing our wisdom, skills and unique style with dancers in both Sydney and Regional NSW. I went to Tamworth to give a presentation on GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS. We created and performed our ambitious new work Wonderland, then we took some well-deserved rest before beginning to recreate Wonderland for 2020. Stay tuned for dates.

Along with these successes, we also strengthened our bond and love for each other. We survived travelling and touring overseas, drunk audience members, maimed body parts, and just life in general.

We welcomed some fantastic new dancers into our fam, met awesome people, shared our knowledge with eager dance students in both Australia and overseas, entertained new audiences, learnt many life lessons (like sometimes I am wrong) and created memories that will last a lifetime.
The year went by so quickly but looking back on everything, we did some big things in 2019.

None of these things would be possible without the hard work of my dancers. Without them, none of this would be possible. They are the blood that runs through the heart of Bonnie Curtis Projects. I cannot thank them enough. I love them very dearly.

Also, our works would really not be possible without the financial support of our Patreon donors. We don’t receive financial support from any arts council, just my credit card. Our Patreon donors have really enabled us to be able to say yes we can afford to put on a show and cover some expenses that come up. Their ongoing financial support has made this year possible. And for that, I cannot thank them enough.

There are so many people who have supported us this year and we cannot thank you enough. You know who you’re.

2020 will bring an (even more) mind-blowing version of Wonderland, potentially an interstate tour of Wonderland and a regional tour of GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS. All of these things depend on funding.
