Courtney Grace Allerton is a Sydney based dancer. Courtney started dancing from the age of 3, beginning her training with Mary Geer Academy of Dance. She went on to perform for several years at the Crowne Casino in Melbourne, and with Diane Donovan Dancers in Sydney. During her training, Courtney was chosen to participate in the Cecchetti Scholars program, a training program for exceptional young dancers. Courtney went onto study a Bachelor of Dance at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA) in Sydney. During her studies, Courtney has trained with Darren Disney, Anca Frankenhaeuser, Alyssia Jarvis, Maya Gavish, Sam Parkes, Charlotte Dand, Tiana Canterbury, and other leading industry professionals.

Courtney is interested in exploring the partnership between visual arts and dance. She is fascinated by aesthetic imagery and uses this to create surreal and interactive environments in dance performance. During her choreographic studies, Courtney has created work drawing on her transformative life experiences and is intrigued by dark subject matter. As a dance maker, Courtney likes to work collaboratively with other dancers and is fascinated by their interpretation of her choreography.

In 2020, Courtney joined Bonnie Curtis Projects to complete a secondment as part of AMPA’s B. Dance Program.

Saskia (she/they) is a queer, neurodiverse, emerging artist. She is currently based on Gadigal Land of The Dharug Nation. Saskia recently graduated two years at Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year. She has performed in spaces such as Carriageworks, Museum of Contemporary Art, Riverside Theatres, and QPAC, in events such as March Dance, MCA movement installations, and PPY Revealed. 

She is presently exploring language, movement, improvisation, and installation. Their artistic philosophies are inquisitive, playful, and introspective. Her work continuously demonstrates provocative explorations of vulnerability, femininity, poetry and fragility, in physiological embodiments. Saskia aims to expand and facilitate their practice through collaborative process, performance, developments, and installations, providing the community with inclusive, accessible artistic involvement. 

Tina Moss is a contemporary dancer originally from Sydney. Tina has trained as a contemporary dancer at The University of Melbourne, The Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) as well as in classical ballet, before becoming more invested in the contemporary art form. While studying at VCA, Tina performed in a range of works from choreographers, including: Rochelle Carmichael, Alice Lee Holland, Prue Lang, Anouk Van Dijk and Stephanie Lake during her years there, and being exposed to many other artists. In addition to this, Tina has participated in other volunteer dance work/artworks, such as: Huddle, originally created by Simone Forti, then recreated as part of the MoMA exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria (2018), and in a mass performance MULTIPLY by the Stephanie Lake Company for Melbourne Fringe Festival (2020). 

Furthermore, Tina has an interest in site specific work, thus explored in creating her own dance work and dance film during 2020. Recently, Tina has performed in a work called Train Escape choreographed by Francesca Gozdek with Interchange Dance Project (2021) and paired film. As Tina’s years exploring and training in contemporary dance, she has extended her interest and passion in the art form, with the aim to perform and create in this field as time goes on.

Maeve, originally from Sydney, Australia, started dancing at the age of 6 at Dance North Academy on the Northern Beaches. After realising her passion for ballet, she furthered her studies at Tanya Pearsons Academy and the Australian Ballet Interstate training program.

While at the academy, Maeve won the Cecchetti 2016 BBM Youth Support Award for Classical Ballet, and then won gold at the Royal Academy of Dance’s Genee International Ballet Competition in 2016.

Maeve was then accepted into English National Ballet School and began training at age 16 with the support of the Tait Memorial Trust. Maeve has had many opportunities throughout her time at the school, like working with the company in their productions of ‘The Nutcracker’ and ‘Swan Lake’, travelling to New York to dance at the David H. Koch Theatre in Lincoln Center for YAGP’s International School’s Festival, and performing in English National Ballet’s My First Swan Lake as Odette and other roles.

Maeve then danced professionally with English National Ballet in Christopher Wheeldon’s ‘Cinderella’, Akram Khan’s ‘Giselle’, English National Ballet’s ‘70th Anniversary Gala’, Anne-Marie Holmes’ production of ‘Le Corsaire’ and Wayne Eagling’s ‘The Nutcracker’. Maeve was also able to be in the choreographic process of Akram Khan’s upcoming production ‘Creature’ with the company.

Due to COVID-19, Maeve travelled back to Sydney in late 2020. While here, she danced in Configuration Co’s triple bill display in late 2020, and worked with choreographer Paulina Quinteros in her prelude performance of ‘The Rehearsal’ in early 2021. Maeve was also featured at Katrina O’Briens with Curatorial Co’s ‘The Unearthing of Words’ art exhibition and Nicholas Fiennes’ photographic series ‘Capturing the Arts’. 

In late 2021, Maeve assisted choreographing and creative directing ‘Catharsis’ performed at Mosman Art Gallery, with the young dancers of Dance North Academy. As well, she was a guest teacher and dancer in Ballet Workshop Australia’s Armidale (2022) and Newcastle (2021) workshops and a winner in their Choreographic Competition in late 2021. Also, Maeve was a dancer in Simonne Smiles ballet creation, ‘Gold’. Currently, Maeve is working with Configuration Co. in their upcoming productions, as well as different collaborative film and photography projects.
