Kate Garrett
Kate is a Sydney based dancer, choreographer, artistic director and dance model with a passion for dance photography a film.
Growing up in London, Kate completed a BETEC Extended Diploma in Dance at Lewisham College, and experienced working with choreographers Lea Anderson and Ragnhild Olsen, as well as being part of The Place’s performance company.
After moving to Australia, Kate furthered her dance training at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts, majoring in contemporary. Kate has also trained in ballet, jazz, pole dance and contact improvisation.
Kate first joined Bonnie Curtis Projects to perform in Blazin It Up (With a Mid-Song Climax) in 2015. And has since toured both Australia and internationally with the company.
Kate is also the artistic director of Silhouette 9 Productions and senior dancer in cabaret company Les Femmes Diamant, where she has performed in Brisbane’s French Festival and Sydney’s Bastille Festival among others.
Kate has a deep love of choreography and has created pieces including ‘When I Was’ and ‘Take a Seat’ as part of BCP shows and Platform Shorts.
Kate been in a number of music videos including ‘Bicheno’ directed by Nathan Hockridge, ‘Swim Away’ from Wolf Gordon George and ‘Smooth’ by Nancy Mars.
