Memory Lane Monday – Is This Love?
This month we’re featuring Is This Love.
It was featured in the fifth season of Platform Shorts, part of the Sydney Fringe Festival in September 2015.
Is This Love tells the story of a seemingly happy couple, whose life behind closed doors reflects that of 1 in 4 Australian relationships. The piece examines the impact that violence against women has on our society, painting a raw portrait of how love and intimacy are often intertwined with abuse and violence. This work wishes to pay tribute to the women who have died so far this year as a result of violence against women.

Is This Love was also invited to be performed as an alumni piece at AMPA’s Student Showcase & Open Day.
